50 companies raised over $200MM in December

50 companies raised over $200MM in first 17 days of December. Bulk of the announcements were as expected for Angel/ Seed Rounds. There were a total of 46 Angel/ Seed/ Preseries A, 1 Series A, 4 Series B,  1 Series C.

Seems like the funnel becomes really narrow for later rounds. Is this the  normal and Series A/B  are still elusive for startups. Is the capital drying up?. Will the lack of subsequent rounds lead to disillusionment at the angel/ seed level or is it the nature of the beast and is it be expected. (Given the current trends, playing a lottery might start to have better odds.)

We will be tracking the investment scene and find answers to these questions.
